The vision of Solas Project is to see communities rejuvenated through education and sport. We will achieve this by equipping and building up young people to overcome all limitations imposed on them by social and educational disadvantage.
This programme is funded through the Department of Justice as part of the Youth Diversion Projects funding, cofounded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union (ESF+ Social Fund 2021-2027).
“The youth workers at Solas Project helped me through my addiction when no one else would bother with me. They always listened to me and gave me guidance on what to do next.”
“I’ve been working with TRY for two years and no matter what you come to them with, they get you and they understand you.”
“The TRY team came into the flats when I was 18 and helped us out an awful lot. They got us doing our theory tests and then eventually I got my full licence and started working. I haven’t looked back since and now at 25 they are still there for me.”
“TRY has helped me a lot over the years, helping me to stay active and look for work. If I ever needed help with food hampers or just needed to speak to someone they’d be the first people I ring.”
