Liberate is Solas Project’s community based youth work programme.
Liberate operates across the Liberties area of Dublin 8. Through high quality youth work in a safe, supportive space young people will focus on personal and social growth to build confidence, develop their own views, develop a strong sense of self, and recognise their power within their wider world. Liberate is rooted in our ‘Never Give Up’ belief.
Background
Solas Project has been operating a range of programmes for young people across The Liberties since 2007. Liberate was established in 2021 in response to the lack of statutory funded community youth work in the area. Liberate responded to this gap in provision by working with young people who grew up a community affected by structural inequality, there are many barriers relating to poverty.
