Team Leader - Compass (Prison Programme)

Duration: Initial 12-month contract
Hours of Work: 24-35 hrs a week with evening work required
Location: Based in Dublin 8 with work around Dublin and in Prisons required
Salary: Starting at €45,045 on a 7 point scale

The aim of Compass is to “love every young prisoner in Ireland away from re-offending and towards a new life”. We work with young people up to the age of 24 in the prison setting and then upon their return to the community. Our work is achieved by running meaningful activities in the prison which then enables relationships to be built and continued in a youth work capacity in the community. This focus of this role is the co-ordination and running of the in-prison activities and post release community support elements, as well as the supervision and development of the staff team. The programme runs in Mountjoy Prison, Wheatfield Prison and Oberstown Detention centre.
