Compass claims the win!

On Wednesday last, Insurance group Ecclesiastical  joined up with our Compass programme to play a football match. Compass is about providing a seamless, structured post release programme for youth offenders, delivering emotional support and practical assistance. We believe that the combinations of pre and post release support services are essential to the successful reduction of re-offending rates.

The excitement was building as staff from Ecclesiastical entered Wheatfield prison last Wednesday evening to play a football match against the 18-24 year old cohort of young men. A great time was had by all and at one stage it looked like it may have been a close game. Although, unfortunately for Ecclesiastical they lost out by two goals to the lads of Wheatfield Prison with the finishing score being 4-2 to Wheatfield.
